Steps For Making Kadai Chicken At Your Home

For Marination
- 750 gm Chicken Curry Cut
- 2 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 2 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
- Salt To Taste
For Roast And Grind
- 1 tbsp Coriander Seeds
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 tsp Fennel Seeds
- 2 tsp Black Peppercorns
- 2-3 Dry Red Chillies
For The Gravy
- 3 tbsp Ghee
- 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
- 2 Black Cardamom
- 1 inch Cinnamon
- 2 Bay Leaves
- 1 Cup Onion Chooped
- 1 inch Ginger Juliennes
- 2 tsp Garlic Chopped
- 1 Cup Tomato Grated
- 4-5 Green Chilli Slit into half
- Salt To Taste
- ¼ Cup Yogurt Whisked with 1 tsp all-purpose flour
- ½ Cup Capsicum Cubed
- ½ Cup Onion Cubed and separated
- ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
- ½ tsp Garam Masala
- ¼ Cup Fresh Cream
- 1 tbsp Kasuri Methi
For Marination
In a preheat bowl, put Chicken, Ginger Garlic Paste, Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder, Lemon Juice and salt. Mix it well.
Now cover the bowl and let it marinate for about 40 minutes.
For Dry Roasting
Here, you've to dry roast cumin seeds, coriander seeds, black peppercorn, fennel seeds, and dry red chilies in the pan on medium flame until they slightly turn brown and fragrant.
Keep them aside and let them cool for a few minutes.
Now take the dry roasted ingredients and pour them into the blender for making a smooth powder mixture.
And keep this mixture aside in the bowl.
For Gravy
For making gravy, take the Kadai and pour some ghee and vegetable oil into it.
Then once the oil is heated, add the ingredients which we mentioned in the list of gravy section. Also, add some water to it.
Cook this mixture for about 10 minutes.
Final Preparation
Now put the marinated chicken along with the masala powder of dry roasting in Kadai and cook it for about 10 minutes on high flame.
Then add yogurt, Maida, and ½ cup of water.
And sprinkle salt according to the taste.
Now cover the pan with a lid and let it get cooked on low flame.
Then at the end, add capsicum, onion cubes, and turmeric powder and cook it for the next 5 minutes.
Now add well-mixed cream with methi.
That's it, your Kadai Chicken is ready to be served.
