Chicken Changezi is the most loving food in Delhi and you will easily get it at any chicken restaurant in old Delhi. But those people are never come to Delhi, for those friends I provide a Chicken Changezi recipe.

Ingredients
  

For Marination

  • 1 kg Chicken Pieces with bones
  • 2 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
  • Salt to Taste
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 100 gm Yogurt

For Onion Cashew Paste

  • 1.5 tbsp Oil
  • 2 Medium Onion sliced
  • 15 Cashew Nuts

For Gravy

  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 2 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 8 tbsp Tomato Puree
  • 2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 3 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 2 tsp Kashmiri Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • Salt to Taste
  • 150 ml Milk
  • 250 ml Water Or as per your requirement
  • 4 tbsp Fresh Cream
  • 1 tsp Chaat Masala
  • 2 tsp Roasted Kasuri Methi Powder

Instructions
 

For Marination

  • In a bowl, take chicken and add all marination ingredients and mix it well.
  • After mixing leave it for a minimum of 30 mins.
  • After marination shallow fries chicken pieces and keep them aside for gravy.

For Onion Cashew Paste

  • Put oil in a pan to heat on medium flame and add onion and stir till onions turn light brown.
  • Now add cashew nuts and stir for 2 mins.
  • Allow it to cool and transfer into a grinder, add water and make a fine paste.

For Gravy

  • Put oil in a pan to heat, add ginger garlic paste, and stir it for 2-3 minutes on low flame.
  • Now add tomato puree, onion cashew paste, and stir them on medium flame till oil separates.
  • Now add red chilli powder, coriander powder, Kashmiri chilli powder, garam masala, salt and stir it till oil separates.
  • Add milk and stir it till oil separates.
  • Now add fried marinated chicken and cook them for 3-4 minutes on medium flame.
  • Add water and cover it for 15 minutes on low flame.
  • In the last, add cream, chaat masala, Kasuri methi and stir it for 2 minutes on low flame.
  • Now your chicken changezi is ready for serve.
