Haha right… It is not a difficult recipe but one of those popular recipes which are “Pan India”. Means If you go to Punjab then there you get Punjabi style lollipop. You can go any quarter bar or non-veg restaurant in Mumbai there also get a chicken lollipop. Also, get the Malvani style lollipop. India has taken a “Chicken lollipop” dish to another level. And adapted it fully.

Lollipop is made from the chicken wings. So first, let me show you the technique of making a chicken lollipop.

Steps For Making Raw Chicken Lollipop

1. Take Whole Chicken Wing

2. We break or pop the joint.

3. After the joint break, we cut it between the bones.

4. Now we take the flat or smaller side of the wing. First, we cut the wingtip and we need to explore the bone at the tip-end. For that, we need to cut the skin and muscle around the joint and clean the joint. Now pull the meat down which helps giving it a lollipop shape.

5. Once you have pulled the meat down remove the small bone which is no use. There is only one bone in lollipop.

6. Now its time to take a drumette or large lollipop.

7. Now we do the same that we do with small lollipops or flat. We need to explore the bone at the flat end and pull the meat down for giving it a lollipop shape.

Ingredients
  

For Marination

  • 12 Chicken Lollipop
  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • ½ tbsp Black Pepper Powder
  • 1 tbsp Kashmiri Red Chili Powder
  • 2 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • Salt To Taste

For Coating

  • ½ cup All-Purpose Flour (maida)
  • ¼ cup Corn Starch
  • 1 tbsp Kashmiri Red Chili Powder
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • Salt To Taste
  • Water as required to make a sticky batter

Other

  • Oil For Frying as required

Instructions
 

For Marination

  • Take a bowl, add chicken lollipop, lemon juice, black pepper, Kashmiri chili powder, ginger garlic paste, salt and mix it properly.
  • Now leave it for one hour marination. But if you have time to leave it overnight then its the best.

For Coating

  • Take another bowl, add all-purpose flour, corn starch, Kashmiri red chili, ginger garlic paste, oil, salt, water and make a batter of it.

Cooking Process

  • After marinating lollipop, take a lollipop and deep into a batter properly so the batter is a coat on a chicken lollipop.
  • Now put that lollipop in hot oil and stir it until its getting crispy.
  • Repeat these steps with every piece.

Notes

  • If you don't make raw chicken lollipop at home then you should buy it from outside.
  • The batter should not be too thick.
