Chicken Frankie is another variant of chicken Kathi roll and chicken roll. It’s the most loving street food in India, especially in Maharashtra. Chicken Frankie recipe is a little different from chicken Kathi roll and chicken roll.
In this, you find a little bit Chinese twist by adding a Schezwan sauce, red chili sauce, and ketchup. In Frankie, you will get a good combination of Chinese and Indian flavors. For Chinese flavor, we add sauces and for an Indian flavor, we add Indian spices.

Step For Making Chicken Frankie Recipe At Home

Ingredients
For Chicken Pieces Cooking
- 250 gm Boneless Chicken Pieces (approx 3-4 cm)
- 2 Egg
- 2 tbsp Cornflour (all-purpose flour)
- 2 tbsp Oil
- Black Pepper For Taste
- Salt To Taste
For Sauce
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 1 tbsp Garlic
- 2 tbsp Schezwan Sauce
- 2 tbsp Ketchup
- 1 tbsp Red Chilli Sauce
- 1 tbsp Cornflour Slurry (mixture of water and cornflour)
- Salt To Taste
- Black Pepper To Taste
- ¼ Cup Spring Onion
- 1 tbsp White Vinegar
- 2 tbsp Spring Onion Greens
For Roti's
- 1 Cup All-purpose Flour
- Salt To Taste
- 1 tbsp Oil
- Water (as required)
Other
- 6 Eggs
Instructions
For Chicken Pieces Cooking
- Take a small cut chicken pieces in a bowl and add egg, cornflour, black pepper, salt. Mix it well.
- Now in a pan add oil and chicken mixture that we made before.
- Cook it until chicken pieces does not cooked.
For Sauce
- Take another pan and add oil, garlic and cook it until garlic gets a little golden brown. At this stage, we add schezwan sauce, red chilli sauce, ketchup, cornflour slurry, salt, black pepper and green onion. Add mix it.
- Now we add cooked chicken pieces, spring onion greens, vinegar and cook it for 1-2 minutes.
For Roti's
- Take a bowl, add all-purpose flour, oil, salt, water as required and make a soft dough.
- After making a dough we need to make a chapati's that we normally made in a home.
- When roti cooked 80% then we need to pour 2 beaten egg on it and cook until egg is not cooked.
- Now take an egg chapati and arrange cooked chicken pieces on it, and wrap.
Notes
- Take care when you adding salt because we already used it in roti's, chicken pieces, sauce as well.
- I prefer to use 2 eggs on one roti but if you want to use one egg then you will also go for it.
